How to write a review of a website:

A website review should include the followings (not necessarily in the order below):

  • An introduction to the theme/subject of the website.
  • An introduction to the features of the site such as flash, dynamic pages, animations etc...
  • A detailed description and then analysis of the key statements and messages of the website
  • An assessment of the website using some criterias (see below)
  • A personal reporting on how
    • the website looks and feels
    • easy it is to navigate and logical structure
    • relevant it is to you
  • A conclusion as to your opinion related to the site as a whole
  • A short statement of any further action, any new ideas that has occured thanks to you visiting this site.

To review a website, I generally use the Webby Awards criterias for a good website. These are:

  1. Content
  2. Structure and Navigation
  3. Visual Design
  4. Functionality
  5. Interactivity
  6. Overall Experience
