Analogue Output

You might want to do more than just turn a device ON or OFF, for example dim a light, control in a simple way the speed of a DC motor...

One of the limiting factor in what you can do with analogue output is the small power output available from a micro-controller to directly drive an LED, a Buzzer, a speaker etc...

Key features of Analogue Output

Analogue output is used to drive directly analogue components such as LED. It requires precautions not to overload the output and risk damaging the PIN at the micro-controller level.
Always ensure that there is no feebdack signal that can surge at the level of the micro-controller. Another rule of thumb to remember, is to always protect from surges and overloads your most valuable components in your circuits.
